Proving PSN after ruining a perfectly good calculus

We prove that a modified version of Kesner and Lengrand’s λlxr calculus has the property of preservation of strong normalisation (PSN) of β-reduction. The proof uses a general technique due to Lengrand and a slight adaptation of his proof of PSN for λlxr. In other work, our proof will be used to prove PSN for another calculus.
